Helping you maintain a functional and healthy posture to aid mobility
Common postural issues
We all have our own postural structure, many people can go through life with poor posture and have little to no pain, but many suffer with different arrays of pain level.
There are many types of posture. You may have heard of the most common, like lumber lordosis and (hunch back) hyper kyphosis. There are many more which will affect your centre of gravity; sway back, flat back, forward head posture. You may get a sensation of one leg being longer than the other? Misaligned hips/sacrum joint and spinal mechanic can cause a functional scoliosis and hip hitching.
Assessment and correction
Assessing your posture and performing special tests will allow me to choose the right treatment for you. Once we know what we dealing with we can start to stretch and strengthen the weak and short postural muscles. I will talk you through the mobility tests. The treatments will allow you to become more mobile and will enable you to reflect on understanding your own body. As part of your treatment I will record clinical notes and you will receive exercises and stretches via email to help improve and strengthen any problem areas we find.
