Becoming A Pro Athlete
Well I do believe I left this blog a little longer than planned. Last one was lock down 2020 through to the beginning of 2021!
Many changes have happened since then. I stepped up with my bodybuilding as it was a sport I had fallen in love with and knew I had more to give. It gave me structure and determination. I got myself a new coach to progress, Rebecca Farrel IFBB PRO. I made some wonderful life time friends with Team Bex and I’m forever grateful for Bex to have created this community for me and helping me get my Pro Card.
Bex took me through my next bodybuilding building show, this time with a different federation C.I.B.B. This was a 17 week prep done over the winter months aiming for Dec 5th 2021. I got myself a posing coach as my stage presentations needed a lot of work. We did aim for the ‘Figure’ category but on the day of the show pre judging moved me down a category into ‘Fitness shape’. Is was a great move as I got my 1st place and a Pro card! For my second ever show this really was an amazing result for me, I was over the moon.
Winning my Category
More changes in my life happened on my return back to the gym after my show which made me need to take action. I moved my business out of Ironmasters to work from the town council and this decision has allowed my business to grow significantly. I also changed gyms, moving to a lighter, brighter and more spacious area. I needed a different atmosphere, & new people in my life. Freedom Leisure Cinderford. My contract with Bex came to an end April 2022 where this chapter closed and another opened.
Within this year I also completed 2 more Master Classes.. One on the Knee complex and the other on the vital glutes/hip flexors. My knowledge and experience is growing fast.
This year we where often back and forth from Penbrokshire where my Dad was doing up a cottage. This also gave us peace and rest, with plenty of beach walks.
